Cataract Surgery
Over time, the clear lens inside your eye can become clouded—this is called a cataract. Symptoms often include hazy or blurred vision, faded colors, trouble with night driving, and increasing sensitivity to glare. While cataracts are extremely common, especially after age 60, modern surgery makes it possible to restore clear vision safely and effectively.
During the procedure, your surgeon removes the clouded natural lens through a tiny incision and replaces it with a crystal-clear artificial lens (IOL). Most surgeries take about 15-20 minutes, and patients typically return to normal activities within days. Advanced lens technology now offers options that can correct both distance and near vision.
Cataract services we provide:
- Modern Cataract Surgery using minimally invasive techniques
- Toric IOL Implants designed to correct astigmatism
- Limbal Relaxing Incisions for additional astigmatism treatment
- Premium Advanced Technology IOLs for broader range of vision
Glaucoma Surgery
Glaucoma damages the optic nerve that connects your eye to your brain, often due to elevated eye pressure. It's known as the "sneak thief of sight" because it typically causes no symptoms in its early stages. By the time you notice vision changes, irreversible damage may have already occurred. That's why routine eye exams are so important—early detection saves sight.
While there's no cure for glaucoma, effective treatments can slow or halt its progression. Most patients start with prescription eye drops. When medication alone isn't enough, surgical options range from quick laser procedures to more comprehensive surgeries. Our team will work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your specific situation.
Our glaucoma treatment options include:
- iStent — a tiny device that helps fluid drain naturally
- Endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP) — laser therapy to decrease fluid production
- Kahook Dual Blade Goniotomy — removes obstructive tissue for improved drainage
- Trabeculectomy — creates an alternate pathway for fluid to exit
- Laser Peripheral Iridotomy — opens drainage angle to prevent pressure spikes
- Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) — enhances drainage without surgery
- MicroPulse Laser Trabeculoplasty — gentler laser treatment approach
